POLICE ARREST THREE TEENAGERS AFTER MOTORCYCLIST DIES IN LLANDUDNO
North Wales Police have confirmed the arrest of three teenagers in connection with a motorcyclist’s death after a collision on Marine Drive in Llandudno. The force said the collision happened at 10.30pm on Thursday, 29 October. The motorcyclist fell into the sea off the Great Orme, prompting a rescue operation involving Llandudno RNLI. Rescuers recovered the man from the water, but he died.
Police said officers interviewed the three males and subsequently released them while enquiries continued. The North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit renewed its public appeal on Friday, 6 November. Officers asked anyone who drove around Llandudno town centre between 10pm and 10.30pm on the night of the collision to provide dashcam footage. They also requested footage from drivers who travelled along Marine Drive from the Toll House around the headland between Monday, 26 October, and Thursday, 29 October.
Detective Inspector Tim Evans, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said officers had now traced a black vehicle mentioned in their initial appeal. Evans also urged people to avoid speculation about the circumstances of the collision. He asked people not to comment on social media, saying “this can be particularly distressing”. Police said their continuing enquiries included a review of dashcam footage covering the routes and periods specified in the appeal.
