JOSH JACOBS FACES FRESH ALLEGATIONS FROM THREE WOMEN IN POLICE RECORDS

SAT 31 OCT 2026 US SPORTS

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs faces fresh allegations from three women who contacted police after his arrest in May, according to records released by the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department. The documents were made public on Friday following a public records request. One of the three women alleged that Jacobs had threatened to kill her. Jacobs' lawyers, David Z Chesnoff, Richard A Schonfeld and Clarence F Duchac III, called the allegations "uncorroborated, old, and previously unreported". The Packers said they had no immediate comment.

Jacobs was arrested on 26 May, three days after a woman said he threw her to the ground. He pleaded no contest on 10 September to misdemeanour counts of battery and criminal damage to property. The NFL placed him on its commissioner's exempt list in August, keeping him out of the Packers' first six games of the season. According to the records, the three women described incidents from 2021 and 2022 and said they came forward after learning of the May case. One woman said she spent 11 hours at Jacobs' home in an encounter she first dated to 2023 before clarifying it took place on 5 January 2022.

The NFL's investigation into Jacobs' arrest is continuing and could impose further discipline. His lawyers said the Brown County District Attorney's office had conducted its own investigation before agreeing that only two misdemeanour charges were warranted. The NFL removed Jacobs from the exempt list on 19 October and cleared him to rejoin the Packers. Two days later he told reporters: "I'm remorseful and sorry for putting this team in this situation." It remains unclear how the newly disclosed allegations will factor into the league's ongoing investigation.
