ISRAELI ATTACKS KILL AT LEAST FOUR PALESTINIANS ACROSS GAZA
Israeli attacks killed at least four Palestinians across Gaza on Saturday, medical sources told Wafa news agency. An Israeli drone strike near al-Wehda Tower killed Wael Musallam in Gaza City, and an earlier Israeli strike on a vehicle in Tel al-Hawa killed Arafat al-Arair, al-Shifa Hospital said. In the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, an Israeli strike killed a teacher, Diaa Abu al-Rous, al-Awda Hospital said; accounts differ on whether this was a drone strike or artillery shelling. In the south, an Israeli drone strike near Khan Younis killed one Palestinian and wounded several others. A fire that broke out in a tent for displaced people in al-Mawasi killed two girls, Habiba Zannoun and Aysal Abu Shaiban, from burns, Nasser Medical Complex said.
Israeli forces struck al-Shati refugee camp and opened fire in al-Maghazi refugee camp, wounding several people, while artillery shelled eastern Gaza City and Deir al-Balah. Military vehicles opened fire northeast of Khan Younis and towards displacement tents in al-Mawasi. Gaza's Ministry of Health said Israeli attacks killed at least six Palestinians in the past 48 hours and injured 26 others. It put the death toll in Gaza since the October 2025 ceasefire at 1,580.
A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has been in place in Gaza since October 2025. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said on Friday that Israeli forces were continuing to displace Palestinians in Gaza, warning that this continued to raise concerns of ethnic cleansing. It said three years of Israeli siege had decimated the territory, forcing Palestinians into an increasingly shrinking area. Israeli forces were also destroying what remained of Gaza's civilian infrastructure, the office said.
