DUNDEE NAME JOE WRIGHT FOR FIRST START AGAINST KILMARNOCK

THU 29 OCT 2026 FOOTBALL

Dundee have named Joe Wright for his first start for the club against his former side Kilmarnock. Wright replaces centre-back Owen Bevan in Dundee’s only change to the starting line-up. Striker Joe Westley returns from injury and takes a place on Dundee’s bench. Kilmarnock have selected goalkeeper Nico Mantl for his debut, a few weeks after he signed for the club.

Robbie Deas makes his first Kilmarnock start since August, with Erik Ring dropping out of the side. Aaron Tshibola starts in midfield after doubts over whether he would be available. The selection of Deas suggests Kilmarnock could play with three defenders at the back. Wright previously played for Kilmarnock, making this his first Dundee start against a club he knows.

In a separate Scottish football match, St Mirren and Hibernian drew 1-1. A late own goal denied Reedijk a first win as Hibernian’s Easter Road boss. The available account gives the final score but does not identify the player who scored the own goal. It gives no further match details for St Mirren and Hibernian, while the Dundee and Kilmarnock information concerns team selection before kick-off.
