LOS ANGELES RAMS BEAT LAS VEGAS RAIDERS 35-21
The Los Angeles Rams beat the Las Vegas Raiders 35-21 on Sunday. Match figures credited Matthew Stafford with 195 passing yards and three touchdowns as the Rams built a 28-6 half-time lead. His third touchdown pass, to Puka Nacua in the second quarter, took him past Roman Gabriel as the Rams’ career leader in touchdown passes. The Raiders reduced the gap after half-time but suffered their fourth consecutive defeat. Both teams finished the game with 3-4 records.
Davis Allen caught two touchdown passes, his first of the season, while Nacua caught eight passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. Nacua had been listed as questionable with a calf injury, and his availability remained uncertain until match day. Kyren Williams scored on a 17-yard run with 1:19 left in the first half. Match figures put the Rams’ first-half rushing total at 103 yards, averaging 6.4 yards per carry. Matt Gay kicked two first-half field goals for Las Vegas and missed a 51-yard attempt in the first quarter.
Stafford now has 155 touchdown passes for the Rams, one more than Gabriel’s previous club record. He also holds Detroit’s record with 282, making him the first player to lead two teams in touchdown passes. First-half figures credited Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins with 95 passing yards from 12 completions in 20 attempts. Ashton Jeanty gained nine yards on five carries and caught five passes for 38 yards before half-time. “Great team effort,” Stafford said, crediting the coaches’ plan and the team’s preparation during the week.
