BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 ACTRESS KIMMARIE JOHNSON DIES AFTER HEART EVENT
Kimmarie Johnson, who appeared in the television series Beverly Hills, 90210, has died, according to her niece, Rhonda Scott. Scott said in a statement that Johnson suffered a sudden "heart event" at her home in Los Angeles last month. Johnson then went to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where doctors diagnosed her with what Scott described as a "heart aneurysm condition." Johnson died on Wednesday after her heart stopped, Scott said. Scott shared the news this week in a statement.
Johnson began her acting career in 1998. That year, she joined the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210, playing a character named Judy for a single episode. She went on to appear in the film Dude, Where's My Car? Johnson later took a role in the television series VIP, working alongside Pamela Anderson.
Scott's statement marked the first public confirmation of Johnson's death. It did not address whether Johnson had experienced heart problems before the event last month. More than a month passed between the heart event at her home in Los Angeles and her death on Wednesday at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Scott has not made any details of funeral or memorial arrangements public.
