CHARLES LECLERC AND WIFE ALEXANDRA WELCOME BABY DAUGHTER BIANCA

Formula One driver Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra have announced the birth of their first child, a daughter. The couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post on Wednesday, posting a photograph of the newborn's feet wrapped in pink knitted leggings. They named their daughter Bianca and gave her date of birth as 3 November 2026, captioning the post "Bianca 3.11.26." The post drew millions of likes and tens of thousands of comments within hours. Leclerc drives in Formula One for Ferrari.

Leclerc and Alexandra married in a private ceremony in Monaco in February, having announced their engagement in November 2025. Their dachshund, Leo, featured in the proposal, wearing a tag that read "Dad wants to marry you!" Fellow Formula One drivers responded to the birth announcement, with Oscar Piastri writing "Congrats to you both!" and Pierre Gasly adding "Congrats!!!" The official Formula One Instagram account and PUMA Motorsport also posted congratulatory messages. Singer Charlie Puth and model Olivia Ponton, who is in a relationship with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, were among others who commented on the post.

Some fans commenting on the announcement suggested the name Bianca echoed that of Jules Bianchi, Leclerc's late godfather and mentor, who died in 2015 from injuries sustained in a crash at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix. Leclerc and Alexandra have not publicly confirmed any connection between the two names. Leclerc had previously said he was keen to spend as much time as possible at home in the lead-up to the birth, with the Brazilian Grand Prix due to take place this weekend. Fans also noted that the initials of Alexandra, Bianca and Charles spell out "ABC."
