Brit mum fighting for life in Dubai after baby boy dies during emergency C-section at 30 weeks pregnant.

The appeal says Campbell-Lowndes has required an induced coma, blood transfusions and dialysis. It says her liver and kidneys were failing and that she experienced internal bleeding. Campbell-Lowndes lives and works as a teacher in Dubai. Her family has launched a fundraising appeal to help pay for her treatment. The appeal says hundreds of people have donated more than £56,000.

According to the family, Campbell-Lowndes’s medical bills have already exceeded £100,000 and continue to rise. The family says it believed a birth plan policy provided insurance cover. It later learnt that the policy did not cover medical emergencies involving the mother, according to the appeal. The family is seeking further donations towards Campbell-Lowndes’s care. It has not given a date for her discharge from hospital.
