GLASGOW WARRIORS ANNOUNCE RODDY GRANT DEPARTURE
Glasgow Warriors have announced that coach Roddy Grant has left the club following the conclusion of an internal process. The club did not say what the process examined, when it began or what findings it reached. “For reasons of confidentiality, the club will not be providing any further comment,” Glasgow Warriors said. Its announcement gave no date for Grant’s departure and identified no other people involved in the process.
Grant joined Glasgow Warriors in June last year, having previously captained Edinburgh. The club described Grant as a coach but gave no further details about his duties in the departure announcement. It did not say how the internal process related to his work with the team. Glasgow Warriors also gave no account of the steps it took during the process before announcing his departure.
Glasgow Warriors said they would not replace Grant for the remainder of the season. The club confirmed that it would retain its current coaching set-up during that period. Its statement did not name a coach who would take on any of Grant’s former responsibilities. Glasgow Warriors has provided no further timetable for staffing decisions beyond its plan for the rest of the season.
