JALEN WILLIAMS SUFFERS LEG INJURY AGAINST CLIPPERS

MON 26 OCT 2026

Jalen Williams left the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on a stretcher after injuring his left leg on Sunday night. He fell while driving to the basket with 1:14 remaining, after contact with Derrick Jones Jr as Kris Dunn challenged the play. His leg gave way when he landed, and his foot bent outwards. Medical staff treated Williams on the court and covered his lower leg with towels. He gave the crowd two thumbs-up as staff took him away.

The exact nature of the injury had not been confirmed after the match. Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said the team expected an update on Monday. “We’re not doing great,” Daigneault said when asked how the players were feeling. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 34 points, was in tears as he spoke about Williams afterwards. Williams missed 49 games last season because of injuries and played a part in Oklahoma City’s 2025 title campaign.

Oklahoma City recorded its third consecutive win to start the season. Cason Wallace left the game in the first quarter with left shoulder soreness, while Jaylin Williams went off with right wrist soreness; neither returned. Alex Caruso said the team’s immediate focus was supporting Jalen Williams. Gilgeous-Alexander said: “It’s obviously going to be tough without a player like that.” He added that the Thunder would have to “hold the fort down” until Williams returned.
