WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER CAR CRASHES INTO NURSERY PLAYGROUND IN ELLESMERE PORT
A two-year-old boy sustained serious injuries when a car crashed into a nursery school playground in Ellesmere Port on Monday morning. The vehicle drove through a fence and into the playground on Vale Road in the Whitby area at approximately 9.54 am. Two additional children received minor injuries in the collision. The seriously injured boy was taken to hospital following the incident.
Cheshire Constabulary attended the scene to conduct inquiries into the circumstances of the crash. A 63-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in connection with the incident. Officers described the crash as believed to be an isolated incident.
