PRINCE GEORGE TO ATTEND ETON COLLEGE FROM SEPTEMBER

TUE 16 JUN 2026 ROYAL

Kensington Palace has confirmed that Prince George will attend Eton College from September. The Prince and Princess of Wales made the announcement regarding their eldest son, who is 13 in July. Prince George is currently in his final term at Lambrook School, which he has attended since September 2022, and will transition to secondary education at the £63,000-per-year institution following the summer holidays.

Eton College is located a 12-minute drive from the family's Forest Lodge home. The school has previously been attended by Prince William, who studied there between 1995 and 2000 whilst boarding at Manor House, as well as Prince Harry and 20 Prime Ministers. Prince George will undertake fulltime boarding at Eton, marking a change from his previous part-time boarding arrangement at Lambrook School.

The announcement concludes months of speculation regarding Prince George's secondary education. Other schools reported to have been considered included Marlborough College, which the Princess of Wales attended, and Oundle School in Northamptonshire, which William and Kate were recently seen touring. Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will remain at Lambrook School when the new academic year begins.
