BOY, 15, IN LIFE-THREATENING CONDITION AFTER STABBING IN ILFORD

A 15-year-old boy remains in life-threatening condition following a stabbing on Ilford Lane in Ilford, East London on Saturday afternoon. The attack occurred shortly before 4.55pm on the busy street lined with shops and residences. London Ambulance Service personnel treated the boy at the scene for stab injuries before transferring him to a major trauma centre. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody as of Monday.

Police closed Ilford Lane between A118 Winston Way and Grange Road for more than 24 hours following the incident. Forensic teams conducted searches at the crime scene to gather evidence. The Metropolitan Police force has appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting reference 5194/13JUN. London Ambulance Service deployed multiple resources to the location, including ambulance crews, advanced paramedic practitioners, an incident response officer and London's air ambulance.

The investigation remains active as officers seek information from anyone who witnessed the stabbing. Members of the public with relevant details are urged to come forward to assist the enquiry. No further details regarding the circumstances of the attack have been confirmed by police.
