BUFFALO BILLS FAVOURED TO END SUPER BOWL DROUGHT IN 2026
The Buffalo Bills rank among the National Football League teams most likely to win the Super Bowl in 2026, according to analysis published on 15 June. The Bills have not won a Super Bowl title and last appeared in one in 1994. The team made the AFC Divisional Round in 2025 despite what was described as a down year, travelling to Denver to face the top-seeded AFC team.
Josh Allen leads the Bills offence, which has received reinforcement through the recruitment of running back James Cook and wide receiver D.J. Moore. Cook led the league in rushing yards in his career-best season, whilst Moore was acquired via trade to serve as the primary wide receiver. The Bills also drafted Skyler Bell as an additional offensive weapon. Joe Brady continues as the offensive play-caller for the franchise.
The Bills' defence presented significant weakness during the 2025 season, recording one of the league's worst rush defences. The team made limited changes to address this defensive shortcoming heading into 2026. An analysis of NFL championship droughts was prompted by the New York Knicks winning their first NBA Championship in 53 years, ending one of the longest championship droughts across professional basketball.
