TAYLOR RED SINGER NICOLE TAYLOR DIES AGED 35
Nicole Taylor, a singer in the country group Taylor Red, has died aged 35. Her sisters, Natalie and Nika, announced her death in a YouTube video posted on Monday, titled "We Lost Our Triplet Sister Nicole." The three were identical triplets from Nashville, Tennessee, who found fame on social media as Taylor Red. Natalie and Nika said Nicole died on 28 September after being diagnosed with breast cancer. "We are shocked and heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister Nicole Taylor," they said in the video.
Nicole was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, after a hospital nurse called her with the biopsy results. Natalie said she remembered "breaking down in absolute shock" on hearing the news, adding that the family had enjoyed good health until then. "I was crying and ran out to the hallway to tell Nika and I just remember Nicole said, 'God's going to use this for his glory,'" Natalie said. The sisters described Nicole as the eldest of the three by minutes, calling her their "fearless leader" who "always spoke up for what was right." Nicole "will be greatly missed," Natalie and Nika said in a statement, describing her as "our leader and our best friend."
In the video, Natalie and Nika said they were "still processing everything" and found it "really hard to talk about." They had expected to one day share Nicole's story of recovery, but instead shared her "story of heavenly healing." The sisters said they took comfort in the belief that Nicole was "at peace and no longer suffering." Taylor Red had built a following on social media as a trio of identical triplets performing country music.
