REAL MADRID BEAT RACING SANTANDER IN LA LIGA
Real Madrid beat Racing Santander 3-0 in a Spanish La Liga football match on 1 November 2026. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring from a 12-yard penalty in the 11th minute after Alvaro Mantilla tripped him inside the penalty area. Jude Bellingham doubled the lead in the 21st minute after latching onto an Arda Guler pass, rounding goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala and slotting into an empty net. Summer signing Yan Diomande completed the scoring in the 36th minute when he struck a bouncing ball from the edge of the area into the top-left corner.
Agirrezabala had earlier saved a point-blank header from Bellingham following a cross by Guler before the opening goal. Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois turned behind a low strike from Iker Luque to deny Racing Santander an equaliser at 1-0. Agirrezabala later made another save to prevent Guler from scoring a goal of his own. Jose Mourinho's side dominated the first half, while the home team started more brightly after the half-time interval.
The result gave Real Madrid a fourth consecutive league victory following their win over Barcelona in El Clasico the previous week. Recorded La Liga standings place Real Madrid three points behind leaders Barcelona on 27 points, with nine wins and two defeats. The outcome ended Racing Santander's unbeaten home record and left the club on 11 points from three wins, two draws and six losses. Mbappe recorded his fifth goal in three games during the week he finished second in the Ballon d'Or voting. Bellingham's strike marked his 50th goal for Real Madrid and his first since September, while Diomande reached three goals in four matches.
