THREE MEN RECEIVE PRISON TERMS OVER WEST END SHOP RAIDS

SAT 31 OCT 2026 CRIME

Three men have been jailed over a series of raids on fashion shops in London’s West End, the Metropolitan Police said. The force said five shops were targeted between November 2025 and January 2026. Robbers used stolen vehicles to smash through shopfronts before entering and taking goods, according to police. The Metropolitan Police described the raids as “brazen”. Two other men received suspended prison sentences in connection with the offences.

The shops included YSL on Bond Street, Bottega Veneta and Lora Piana on Sloane Street, and End on Broadwick Street. Footage released by the Metropolitan Police showed vehicles reversing into display windows. It also showed people entering the shops, carrying goods out and leaving. Figures for the combined damage to the shops and value of stolen goods range from £1 million to more than £1 million.

Max Tyson and Ryan Brough each admitted two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary. Inner London Crown Court sentenced each man to three years and four months in prison on Thursday. Harry Johnson received one year and 10 months in prison after admitting handling stolen goods. Sonny Stringer received a suspended prison sentence after admitting handling stolen goods. Olivier Ndayizeie also received a suspended prison sentence after admitting encouraging or assisting an offence.
