JEREMIYAH LOVE RESUMES CARDINALS PRACTICE
Jeremiyah Love returned to Cardinals practice on Wednesday, taking part in a limited session after spraining his left ankle. The rookie running back had missed the team's previous two games. He had not practised since 9 October. Coach Mike LaFleur said on Monday: “Jeremiyah will be out there at practice on Wednesday, so we’ll see how the week goes.”
The Cardinals selected Love with the third overall pick. He injured his right ankle during the preseason, before the left ankle sprain kept him out of the past two games. Bam Knight and Tyler Allgeier have filled in for him in the backfield. Love has recorded 67 carries for 245 yards and a touchdown. He has also made 11 catches for 36 yards and a touchdown, while Allgeier missed Wednesday's practice with a toe injury.
The Cardinals also practised without safety Budda Baker, outside linebacker Zaven Collins, right guard Jon Gaines II and defensive lineman Walter Nolen III. Offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo, outside linebacker Josh Sweat, right tackle Elijah Wilkinson and linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. were absent. Quarterback Carson Beck, cornerbacks Kei’Trel Clark and Max Melton, and wide receiver Michael Wilson took part on a limited basis. Safety Andrew Wingard also had limited participation. The practice report listed rest, illness and injuries as reasons for the players' absences and limits.
