SAMSUNG SETS US LAUNCH DATE FOR GALAXY BUDS ON
Samsung said its Galaxy Buds On will go on sale in the United States in early November 2026 for $229. They are Samsung’s first clip-on, open-ear wireless earbuds. Samsung released the earbuds in South Korea earlier this month. The company says the clip holds each earbud in place without sealing the ear canal. It says it used data from more than 119 million ear scans to develop the fit.
Samsung says the earbuds use reversed sound waves to reduce sound leakage. A new Class-D amplifier aims to balance sound output and power consumption. Three microphones and a voice pickup unit detect speech vibrations to help isolate a caller’s voice from background noise. Samsung estimates up to nine and a half hours of music playback on one charge. Figures for playback with the charging case differ, putting it at 38 hours in total or 38 additional hours.
Users can nod or shake their heads to accept or decline calls and dismiss alarms or notification readouts. Galaxy phone users can access Gemini Live and connect the earbuds by opening the case. Head Gestures, Quick Voice Memo and Auto Volume require compatible Samsung phones running up-to-date One UI and supporting Galaxy AI. Compatible Galaxy devices support Samsung’s SSC and SSC UHQ Bluetooth codecs, with audio up to 24-bit/48kHz and 24-bit/96kHz respectively. The earbuds use Bluetooth 6.2 and carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
