SUN 25 OCT 2026 US SPORTS

Brandon Miller scored a season-high 34 points as the Charlotte Hornets beat the Miami Heat 115-110 on Saturday. His total led all scorers in the game, the Hornets’ third of the 2026-27 NBA season. Miller scored 19 points in the second half as Charlotte maintained its lead over Miami. He also recorded seven rebounds, four assists and one block, according to the match figures.

Miller made 10 of his 29 field-goal attempts, including three three-pointers. He scored 11 points from 12 free-throw attempts, making the foul line a larger source of points for him than it had been in Charlotte’s first two games. Across those two games, Miller had attempted three free throws in total. The 12 attempts against Miami also exceeded the number of field goals he made on Saturday. The match figures put his scoring total six points above his number of field-goal attempts.

The win gave Charlotte two victories and one defeat from its opening three games. Miller has averaged 21.3 field-goal attempts per game over that stretch, according to the reported season figures. Kon Knueppel has a hamstring injury and has yet to return to the Hornets’ line-up. No date for Knueppel’s return was given, leaving the length of his absence unspecified.
