OSCAR BOBB GIVES FULHAM 1-0 WIN AT COVENTRY

SAT 24 OCT 2026

Oscar Bobb scored in the 80th minute to give Fulham a 1-0 Premier League win at Coventry City. Bobb worked his way into the box and curled a shot into the far corner. It was his first Premier League goal for Fulham and his second goal in any competition since his £27m move from Manchester City in January. The result gave Fulham consecutive league victories and lifted them clear of the relegation zone. Coventry finished the match second-bottom of the table.

Josh King came closest to scoring before the break, striking the post in the 18th minute after finding space in Coventry’s box. Alex Iwobi sent the follow-up high and wide. For Coventry, Bobby Thomas headed wide from Rudoni’s free-kick, while Brandon Thomas-Asante missed the target after meeting Jay Dasilva’s cross. Thomas-Asante later took advantage of a misplaced backpass from Antonee Robinson, but Bernd Leno gathered his shot. Coventry defender Milan van Ewijk also deflected a Robinson effort.

Fulham’s win was their first away from home in nine attempts, a run dating back to February. A week earlier, they had beaten Hull 1-0 to end their winless start to the league campaign. Coventry had won 4-1 against Newcastle in their previous home match at the CBS Arena. Fulham had more possession during the match, while Coventry created several chances without scoring. The victory followed a period of pressure on Alvaro Arbeloa, and the defeat left Frank Lampard’s Coventry in the bottom three.
