US FILES DETAIL BLACK TRIANGLE SIGHTINGS OVER MILITARY SITES

The Trump administration released files on Friday describing reported sightings of black triangular objects over sensitive US military sites. Two anonymous senior military observers said they saw one object over a site in the western United States earlier this year. Officials redacted the site’s location and the date of the sighting from the public file. The observers estimated that the object travelled at 1,800 miles per hour and said it vanished silently within seconds.

The observers described a shape resembling a delta-wing drone with a wingspan of nine to 15 feet (2.75 to 4.5 metres). They said it left no exhaust trail and lacked the features of a conventional military aircraft. According to the files, a thermal scan showed a consistent heat signal across the object. A government memo described another reported triangle as having a “continuous (seamless), featureless surface” without visible propulsion, air intakes, controls or a cockpit. The memo said two primary witnesses reported no disorientation, nausea, headaches or memory gaps.

The files describe at least three reported triangle sightings over the past year. Officials said the sightings raised national security concerns because they took place above sites where the US tests new technology. The released material included nine illustrative images of a canyon with triangle silhouettes, but no photographs of the reported object. Friday’s publication was the seventh batch released under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, and officials said further files would follow.
