DALLAS COWBOYS LIMIT GEORGE PICKENS IN THURSDAY PRACTICE
The Dallas Cowboys listed George Pickens as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice because of a shoulder injury. It was the wide receiver’s first appearance on the team’s injury report this season. Todd Archer said Pickens had used ice on his shoulder during the previous two games. “Don’t think this is something that will keep him out this week,” Archer wrote. Accounts differ on whether Dallas’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles is scheduled for Sunday or Monday night.
Pickens agreed to a one-year franchise tag worth a guaranteed $27.3 million before the season. He recorded 93 catches, 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025, when he received a Pro Bowl selection. Dallas has a 2-4 record, and no long-term agreement with Pickens has been reported. The Cowboys also limited left tackle Tyler Guyton in Thursday’s practice because of a calf injury. Philadelphia’s defence has allowed an average of 363.8 yards per game, according to figures cited ahead of the fixture.
Dallas listed cornerback Cobie Durant as limited in his first team practice since a hamstring injury in Week 2. Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown took part fully for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 1; Patrik Walker said Overshown had told him he would return against Philadelphia. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. did not appear on Thursday’s injury report after an ankle issue affected him the previous week. Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said that issue had limited Porter during Week 6, when he played. Dallas is due to release its next injury report on Friday.
