CHAS DINGLE ACCUSES LIAM CAVANAGH OF AN AFFAIR IN EMMERDALE

In Wednesday’s Emmerdale episode, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) grew suspicious when Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) focused on his phone at the Woolpack. Liam told Chas he had a conference to attend and discouraged her from joining him. He also sent an unidentified person a message saying: “Just need to get away without anyone knowing..” In a later storyline, Chas sees Liam and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) get out of a car together and accuses them of having an affair. Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) tells Chas that all three attended a murder mystery event.

Chas asks Liam why he did not invite her, and his answer upsets her. Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) then suggests that she challenge Liam’s assumptions about her. Chas organises a murder mystery day for him, beginning with a staged scene at the vet’s surgery. Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) finds Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) lying there with a knife in her back before Chas and Liam reveal the setup. Liam starts searching for clues, but his enthusiasm fades as the day continues.

While Liam works on another clue, a stranger named Dave arrives carrying a gun. Liam lets Dave tie him up because he believes the encounter forms part of Chas’s game. Dave knows Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), who arrives and reacts with fear. Dylan’s arrival makes clear that Liam has mistaken the encounter for part of the murder mystery.
