EASYJET HOLIDAYS OFFERS TO COVER BABY PASSPORT FEE

THU 22 OCT 2026

easyJet holidays says it will cover the £66.50 fee for a baby’s first UK passport when families book a holiday during its promotion. The offer applies to children aged up to 18 months and ends at 11pm on 26 November. The operator said it will publish claim details at easyJet.com/firstpassport. Stuart Wright, customer director at easyJet holidays, said: “By covering the cost of a baby’s first passport, we’re helping more families start making those memories that little bit sooner.” easyJet holidays reported a 10% rise in infant travellers in 2026 compared with 2025.

In a survey of 2,000 parents commissioned by easyJet and easyJet holidays, 75% said the offer would make travel with a baby more affordable. Almost one in 10 said they had not known babies needed their own passports until they began planning a holiday. One in four said obtaining an approved passport photo took up to six attempts. A first UK child passport costs £66.50 online, while an application using a paper form from the Post Office costs £80. Parents or guardians can apply for children under 16, and the passport remains valid for five years.

The passport information accompanying the offer gives a current processing estimate of three weeks. Separately, the Home Office said children aged eight and nine have been eligible to use automated gates when returning to the UK since 8 July. They must be at least 120cm tall and accompanied by an adult so the gates’ biometric scanners can verify their identity. Previously, children under 10 had to use staffed passport booths.
