MALIK WILLIS COMPLETES DOLPHINS PRACTICE WITH THUMB INJURY
The Miami Dolphins listed quarterback Malik Willis with a right thumb injury on Wednesday. Their injury report recorded him as a full participant in practice. Willis had not been seen throwing during an informal session in the team’s Week 6 bye. Miami did not issue a practice report during the week off, leaving the reason for his absence from throwing work undisclosed until Wednesday.
Cornerback Reese Taylor missed Wednesday’s practice with a quad injury, making him Miami’s only player who did not take part. Long snapper Tucker Addington had a shoulder injury and pass rusher Rob Beal Jr. had a hamstring injury; both took part on a limited basis. Wide receiver Caleb Douglas, listed with an ankle injury, and tight end Will Kacmarek, listed with a hamstring injury, also had limited sessions. Safety Kyle Louis had a knee injury and running back Jaylen Wright had a foot injury; Miami listed both as limited participants.
Four other Dolphins players joined Willis on the full participation list as the team prepared for Week 7. Cornerback Julius Brents was listed with a heel injury. Inside linebacker Jordyn Brooks had a foot injury, while offensive guard Jonah Savaiinaea and inside linebacker Jackson Woodard were both listed with ankle injuries. Miami is scheduled to face the New York Jets on Sunday.
