Actor Noel Clarke appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 21 October and indicated not guilty pleas to six sex offence charges involving five women. He faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. Prosecutors allege the offences took place between 2007 and 2016 in London and Dorset. Clarke, who lives in Kensington, central London, was granted bail after the hearing. His next court appearance is scheduled for 18 November at Southwark Crown Court.

The Metropolitan Police said it charged Clarke after an investigation that began in September 2025. Prosecutor Charlotte Newell KC told the court that Clarke was “in a position of power and trust” at the time of the alleged offences. Clarke played Mickey Smith in Doctor Who between 2005 and 2006. He wrote and starred in Kidulthood and Adulthood, and also wrote and directed Brotherhood. The allegations concern five women, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Bethan David, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London, said prosecutors had concluded there was sufficient evidence to bring the case and that prosecution was in the public interest. She said the Crown Prosecution Service had worked with the Metropolitan Police during its investigation. Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney said specially trained officers continued to support the women connected to the charges. He urged anyone who had experienced sexual assault to contact police and said trained investigators could support them. David said the proceedings were active and that Clarke had the right to a fair trial.
