TENNESSEE TITANS RELEASE JORDAN ELLIOTT AFTER FACILITY INCIDENT

WED 21 OCT 2026 US SPORTS

The Tennessee Titans released defensive tackle Jordan Elliott on Tuesday, 20 October, after reviewing an incident at their facility five days earlier, the team said. “On Thursday, October 15, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott,” the Titans said in a statement. “Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster.” The team said it would make no further comment and gave no account of Elliott’s actions.

Aaron Wilson reported that Elliott argued with offensive tackle JC Latham after the two tangled during practice. Elliott then left the field after being told to do so, removed his pads and went towards the players’ parking area, Wilson reported. Accounts differ on whether Elliott tried to retrieve a gun from his vehicle or took a firearm from it. John Franklin-Myers approached Elliott and spoke to him at the parking area, according to Wilson.

Elliott played in all five of Tennessee’s opening games of the 2026 season and recorded 11 combined tackles, according to the account of his season. The Titans pulled him from practice on Friday, 16 October, and he did not travel to Indianapolis for their Week 6 game against the Colts. Asked about Elliott’s absence, Robert Saleh said he was dealing with “personal stuff”. Former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho later criticised Elliott’s reported conduct on Speakeasy and said he believed Elliott would not play another NFL game.
