JASON KELCE ASKS TRAVIS KELCE TO SPOT HIS MORNING SQUAT

Jason Kelce called his brother Travis at 7.30am and asked him to spot a squat at Travis’s home in Kansas City, Travis said on an episode of the New Heights podcast. Travis said Jason had flown in carrying about 50lb of extra weight plates for the squat bar. Before the visit, Jason had asked how much weight Travis kept in his basement. Travis said he had counted the plates for Jason but had not added up their weight. When the call came, Travis initially feared Jason had injured himself.

Travis said he wondered whether he might need to take Jason to hospital after a knee injury. Jason instead asked, “Yeah, can you come? Can you go spot me?” Travis said he replied, “No way.” Travis’s wife, Taylor Swift, also reacted as he left the room to help Jason, according to Travis’s account. He told her it would be fine.

Travis recounted the call to friends that day before describing it on the podcast. He called Jason’s decision to bring extra plates on the flight “the most meathead thing I think I’ve ever seen Jason do”. Travis and Swift began dating in 2023 and married in July, according to the account. Jason first met Swift at a 2024 playoff game in Buffalo. During that game, he left a suite without a shirt and drank beer with Buffalo Bills fans on live television.
