CAPTAIN TOM MOORE’S FAMILY HOME RETURNS TO MARKET AT £1.8M

WED 21 OCT 2026

Captain Sir Tom Moore’s family home in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, is back on the market for £1.8m, according to its property listing. The seven-bedroom house was first listed for £2.25m in 2024, making the current asking price £450,000 lower. Moore walked 100 lengths of its garden ahead of his 100th birthday in April 2020. His fundraising during the Covid-19 pandemic brought in nearly £39m for charity, according to the accounts of his campaign. The listing contains no images of Moore and does not name his daughter, Hannah Ingram-Moore, or her husband, Colin.

The listing says: “The property was given Grade II listed status in October 1952 as a property of architectural and historical importance.” It dates the building to the 18th century and says builders reworked an earlier structure. The account also describes a substantial extension in the 19th century. A plaque on the building reads “rebuilt AD 1884 JS Wood DD Rector”. The listing does not mention Moore’s fundraising.

Hannah Ingram-Moore and Colin Ingram-Moore set up the Captain Tom Foundation in 2020. In a statutory inquiry published in November 2024, the Charity Commission said they gained significant financial benefit of more than £1m through links to the charity. The commission said it found “repeated failures of governance and integrity” at the foundation. It described the couple’s misconduct or mismanagement as a repeated pattern of behaviour. Moore received a knighthood in 2020 and died in 2021.
