TYLER CAMERON AND TATE MADDEN ANNOUNCE PREGNANCY ON DANCING WITH THE STARS
Tyler Cameron and his fiancée, Tate Madden, announced on Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday, 20 October, that they are expecting their first child. Madden joined Cameron and professional dancer Sharna Burgess for a contemporary routine during the programme’s Dedication Night. Cameron dedicated the dance to mothers and addressed his late mother, Andrea, in a recorded voiceover. “And we’re gonna have a baby. I can’t believe I’m gonna be a dad,” he said. Cameron and Madden later learnt they are expecting a girl as pink confetti fell in the ballroom.
Cameron said Andrea died in 2020 after a brain aneurysm. He spoke before the dance about wishing he could tell her about Madden and dance with her at his wedding. Madden told the programme that Andrea’s influence shaped Cameron, saying, “She gave me the man of my dreams and I’m just overwhelmingly grateful to her.” Cameron proposed to Madden on a beach at Little Palm Island, Florida, in August. He announced their engagement in a post captioned, “Better late than never they say.”
The judges awarded Cameron and Burgess 32 points out of 40 for the routine. Cameron said the couple would remember the night and celebrate it. In his voiceover, he told Andrea that Madden had qualities he valued in his mother. He also said he hoped Andrea would be proud of him as he prepared to become a father.
