DRAFTKINGS OFFERS NBA BETTING BONUSES TO NEW USERS
DraftKings advertised a new-user betting offer for the opening of the 2026–27 NBA season on 20 October. The promotion offered $200 in bonus bets and three months of NBA League Pass after a qualifying $5 wager. It applied to people opening a DraftKings Sportsbook account in a US state where the service operates legally. The stated minimum deposit ranged from $5 to $10. The qualifying wager was described as either a bet on San Antonio Spurs against Oklahoma City Thunder or a bet on any NBA game.
The promotion divided the $200 into eight $25 bonus bets delivered over 21 days. Its terms said customers would receive the first $50 after placing a qualifying bet, with the remaining $150 to follow. Recipients had seven days to use each bonus bet after receiving it. They could not withdraw or transfer the bonus bets, and a winning bonus bet would return profit without its original stake. One account of the offer said customers needed no promotional code and would have to provide information to verify their identity.
San Antonio and Oklahoma City were scheduled to meet at 8.30pm Central Time in a rematch of the previous season’s Western Conference Finals. San Antonio won that series. The opening-night schedule also included the Detroit Pistons hosting the Boston Celtics and LeBron James making his Philadelphia 76ers debut. A further 11 NBA games were listed for Wednesday.
