VICTORIA BECKHAM SAYS HARPER ASKED HER TO CALL SCHOOL OVER MAKE-UP

Victoria Beckham said her daughter Harper asked her to call her school after it told her she could not wear make-up in class. Speaking on the Today Show, Beckham said Harper wanted her to request an exception to the rule. Beckham quoted Harper asking, “Why don't they want me to look my best?” She said Harper also asked, “Mummy can't you call the school?” Beckham refused her request.

Beckham described Harper as “really good” at making her make-up look natural. Harper is in Year 11 and is due to sit her GCSEs in May and June. She is preparing to launch a beauty brand, reportedly called Harlo by Harper. The planned launch would give Harper a business of her own alongside her school studies.

Harper has reportedly encountered a problem registering the proposed brand name as a trademark in the United States. A business selling dietary supplements had already registered the name, according to the account of the trademark issue. Harper was told she could not register it for that reason. The reported trademark difficulty concerns the proposed name; the available account does not give a date for the brand’s launch.
