ALESHA DIXON BUZZES IMPRESSIONIST OVER CHERYL REMARK

Alesha Dixon pressed her red buzzer after impressionist Cameron mocked Cheryl Tweedy’s singing ability during Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Blackpool. Dixon buzzed midway through Cameron’s act. After his performance, she explained her decision: “You don’t come after a mate of mine.” The exchange took place during auditions for the ITV talent show’s 20th series. Dixon currently serves as a Britain’s Got Talent judge and is set to present The Voice UK.

Dixon will present The Voice UK with Stacey Solomon, taking over from Emma Willis. Cheryl is set to replace Tom Jones as a coach on the programme. Will.i.am will return to the coaching panel, alongside Kelly Rowland and Aitch. The new series of The Voice UK was filmed last month. Both The Voice UK and Britain’s Got Talent are scheduled to air new series in 2027.

Cheryl appeared alongside Will.i.am during a Battles round of The Voice UK shown earlier this month. During the episode, Will.i.am said he had tried to persuade Cheryl to join him for 13 years. Cheryl told members of his team that she and Will.i.am had collaborated over the years. She also told them: “You couldn't be in better hands than you are with my man Will.” Cheryl joined Girls Aloud after her selection on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
