STRICTLY CONFIRMS DELTA GOODREM'S RETURN AFTER RIB INJURY
Strictly Come Dancing says Delta Goodrem has received clearance to dance this weekend after a rib injury kept her out of Icons Week. The programme’s official Instagram account said she had been given “the all clear to dance again this weekend”. Goodrem is due to return to the ballroom on Saturday night. She took a bye last week after missing the themed show.
Doctors had advised Goodrem to rest because of the injury. She watched last weekend’s programme from home and recorded a video message for viewers. In the message, Goodrem said she needed time to process the setback and work out “what the body is saying”. She also told viewers she was excited to see the “amazing talented class of 2026”. In a separate message last week, Goodrem thanked people who had sent her messages and comments over the preceding days.
Kai Widdrington described his return to training with Goodrem as “baby steps”. Ellie Taylor, identified as an It Takes Two host, responded “Hurrah!” to the announcement of Goodrem’s return. Viewers also welcomed the news in comments on the announcement, with one saying they could not wait to see Goodrem back on the floor. Strictly Come Dancing said Abi Clarke would visit Goodrem’s rehearsal room on Wednesday evening for a conversation on Training Room Diaries.
