MEDICAL EXAMINER RULES PAC DIED OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA

MON 19 OCT 2026

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said British wrestler Pac died from bronchial asthma and ruled his death natural. The wrestler, identified as Benjamin Satterley and Benjamin Slattery in accounts of his death, was found unresponsive in a rental car in Chicago, Illinois, on 27 September. A passer-by called 911 after seeing him slumped in the vehicle outside a restaurant near O’Hare International Airport. Police pronounced him dead shortly after arriving. Investigators reported no signs of trauma or foul play, and an office spokesperson disclosed the cause of death on 16 October.

Born in Newcastle, Pac wrestled on independent circuits in Britain, the United States, Mexico and Japan. He joined WWE in 2012, where he wrestled under the name Neville and held a cruiserweight title. He joined All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and appeared at its first press conference and its first All Out event that year. Pac wrestled Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at All Out the day before his death. He was also known for the Red Arrow, a move performed from the top rope.

All Elite Wrestling held “A Tribute to Pac” on 30 September. WWE also broadcast a tribute featuring wrestlers paying their respects. Marina Shafir, who belonged to the Death Riders group alongside Pac, spoke about him at an independent wrestling show after his death. “He was just so modest about how fascinating he was,” Shafir said.
