JAX GUELLI EXPLAINS LOVE IS BLIND EXIT

Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli has explained why she left Netflix’s Love Is Blind shortly after meeting Scott “Stew” Stewart in person. The pair had agreed to marry after getting to know each other without seeing each other during the programme’s 11th series. Guelli said the meeting overwhelmed her and sent her into “flight mode”. She said Stewart’s appearance did not cause her to leave. Guelli asked producers to let her go home without seeing Stewart again.

Guelli said she had begun to question their relationship after Stewart proposed. She felt he had improvised the proposal and said their conversations had seemed practical rather than romantic. When they met, she said, his manner differed from what she had expected. “He just seemed really cocky in a way,” she said. Guelli told producers at the time that the meeting did not feel romantic to her.

Guelli said she contacted Stewart after she got her phone back, using a number she obtained through another cast member. She described their conversation as “friendly and fun” but gave no further details about it. Looking back at her departure, she said she wished she had paused before leaving and added: “He deserves better.” Guelli and Stewart still follow each other on Instagram, and she has liked his recent posts. The series brought together 30 singles from Boston.
