MON 19 OCT 2026 US SPORTS

The Carolina Panthers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 25-14 in Philadelphia on Sunday, leaving Carolina at 3-2 and Philadelphia at 2-4. Recorded game figures credited the Panthers with 399 yards against the Eagles’ 222. Those figures credited Bryce Young with 281 passing yards and two touchdowns. Both touchdown passes went to Tommy Tremble, on catches of 12 and 19 yards. Chuba Hubbard ran for 120 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries.

Philadelphia played without quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley. Hurts is on injured reserve with a blood clot in his calf and will miss at least four games. Barkley missed his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury, while injuries also sidelined Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby. Game figures credited Tanner McKee with 215 passing yards and a touchdown in his third career start. His 19-yard pass to DeVonta Smith cut Carolina’s lead to 19-14 early in the fourth quarter.

Philadelphia then forced Carolina to punt after three plays, but McKee lost 12 yards on a fumble during the Eagles’ next possession. Eight of Philadelphia’s 11 drives ended in punts, and another ended on downs late in the game. “Whether it was guys in the wrong spot, I’ve got to get them fixed or a missed call, I’ve got to get it fixed,” McKee said. The Eagles also lost Carson Steele to a shoulder injury, Nolan Smith to a concussion and Jordan Davis to an ankle injury during the game. Philadelphia has lost four consecutive games for the first time since 2020.
