CARDINALS AND RAMS END FIRST HALF LEVEL AT 9-9

MON 19 OCT 2026 US SPORTS

The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams reached half-time tied 9-9 in their Week 6 NFL game. Chad Ryland kicked a 22-yard field goal shortly before the break to bring Arizona level. The Cardinals scored through three field goals, while the Rams scored a touchdown. Los Angeles kicker Blake Grupe injured his knee while trying to tackle returner Devin Duvernay near midfield. The Rams listed Grupe as doubtful to return.

Matthew Stafford threw a 15-yard touchdown pass for Los Angeles, but the Rams failed in their attempt to add two points. Stafford lost the ball when Arizona sacked him on the attempt, and a Cardinals player nearly returned the fumble for two points. First-half match figures put the Rams’ offensive total at 107 yards and eight first downs. Those figures recorded an average of 3.8 yards per play and three successful third-down conversions from seven attempts. Arizona sacked Stafford twice and registered four quarterback hits.

Arizona moved the ball into the red zone but did not score a touchdown before half-time. First-half match figures credited Jacoby Brissett with 11 completions from 17 passes for 119 yards and an interception. Trey McBride led the Cardinals’ receivers with three catches for 42 yards. Arizona was due to receive the second-half kickoff. Grupe’s doubtful designation left his availability for the remainder of the game uncertain.
