BEE LAUNCHES FRONTIER AND ECLIPSE AI WEARABLES UNDER AMAZON

Bee has introduced two new artificial intelligence devices, the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse, marking its first product launch since Amazon acquired the wearable AI startup roughly a year ago. The Bee Frontier is a wrist-worn or clip-on module that replaces the company's earlier Pioneer device and is priced at $74.99, according to the company. The Bee Eclipse is a separate, credit-card-sized device that attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone. Both devices are designed to record conversations and surroundings, producing transcripts and summaries, and allow users to ask questions of Bee's "Buzz" AI assistant or leave voice notes. The launch also includes a new Pro subscription offering and software updates, according to the company.

The Bee Frontier is smaller and lighter than the Pioneer, is available in additional colours including Lavender, Sage and Onyx, and carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, which the Pioneer lacked, Amazon said. Both the Frontier and its predecessor share a seven-day battery life estimate, a USB-C charging port and dual microphones with noise filtering intended to reduce background noise. A single press of the device's button starts a recording session, while pressing and holding it activates the AI assistant or voice-note function. The Bee Eclipse positions the company alongside other AI note-taking devices already on the market, including the Plaud Note and the Pocket AI device.

The Bee Frontier undercuts rival devices on price, with the Plaud Note listed at $159, the Plaud Note Pro at $189 and the Pocket AI device at $129, according to the companies' pricing. The Bee Frontier is available now for $74.99. Full independent reviews of the new devices had not yet been published at the time of the announcement.
