WATCHDOG ORDERS MET POLICE TO REOPEN LINEHAN ARREST COMPLAINT

The Independent Office for Police Conduct has ordered the Metropolitan Police to reopen an investigation into a complaint from Graham Linehan over his arrest at Heathrow Airport. The watchdog ruled that the force's own review of the complaint was "not reasonable and proportionate". The Met has confirmed the complaint will now be reopened.

The Father Ted creator was arrested by five armed officers in September over posts he had made on X six months earlier.
