LAMAR JACKSON HAS CHANCE TO RETURN FOR RAVENS IN WEEK SIX

WED 14 OCT 2026 US SPORTS

Lamar Jackson has a "realistic chance" of playing for the Baltimore Ravens against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jackson missed Week 5 with an ankle injury but did not take part in practice last week. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter told reporters on Monday that the quarterback was "definitely doing better" and said he had praised Jackson for doing everything he could to return as quickly as possible. The Ravens' first injury report of Week 6 is due to be released later on Wednesday.

Jackson has completed 70.8 per cent of his passes this season across four games, throwing for 967 yards with six touchdowns and one interception. He has also rushed for 144 yards and a further touchdown. He was sidelined for just one game after sustaining the ankle injury. Minter has not given a definitive timeline for Jackson's return, with the decision appearing to depend on his recovery over the coming days.

Elsewhere in the NFL, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is on track to play in Week 6 after returning to practice, according to Yahoo Sports. Williams missed three games after injuring his hamstring late in the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Both quarterbacks' availability is expected to become clearer once their teams issue official injury reports this week. Further updates on Jackson's status are expected as the Ravens finalise their roster for Sunday's game.
