JERMAINE PENNANT AVOIDS DRIVING BAN OVER INSURANCE OFFENCE

Former Arsenal and Liverpool footballer Jermaine Pennant has been given a six-month conditional discharge after driving without insurance. A judge ruled that special reasons existed for not disqualifying him from driving, an offence that can otherwise result in a ban from the road.

Pennant played for both clubs during his footballing career.
