MICHAEL PAGE SIGNS MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH MISFITS BOXING
Michael "Venom" Page has signed a multi-fight, multi-year agreement with Misfits Boxing after leaving the UFC. His departure follows a points win over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris on 5 September, which completed his existing UFC contract. According to the BBC, Page registered a fifth win in six fights since making his UFC debut in 2024, but was dropped by the organisation despite that record. The signing was announced by KSI at a Misfits event at Copper Box Arena in London on Saturday, where Page entered the ring as his highlights played. Page said in a statement that he has "had plenty of options" but that "MF Sports is the right fit" for him.
KSI, described as a co-founder of Misfits, told the crowd that Page "is one of the biggest names in combat sports, and everyone wanted him," adding that fans "are going to love watching him in the ring." Page has won 26 of his 29 mixed martial arts fights and is also a decorated kickboxer, according to the BBC. He made his professional boxing debut in 2017 and holds a 2-0 record, but has not fought in a boxing ring since 2018. Page said in his statement that he is "excited for this new chapter" and plans "to show the boxing world what I can do."
Page has not yet fought under the Misfits banner, with his debut for the promotion expected in the coming months, according to his own statement. KSI also used Saturday's event to announce he is stepping back from boxing to take up a role as Misfits' chief executive. Reaction among fans online to Page's move into boxing has been mixed, according to EssentiallySports. No date or opponent for Page's first Misfits bout has yet been confirmed.
