911 CALL REVEALS AEW STAR PAC FOUND UNRESPONSIVE IN CAR
A member of the public called 911 after finding AEW wrestler PAC unresponsive in his car, and the recording of that call has since become public, according to reports. The caller told the dispatcher she had just got into her own car outside a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, when she noticed the person in the next vehicle passed out, adding that she did not know what had happened to him. She made the call at 15:53 local time, about 15 minutes before PAC, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, was pronounced dead at 16:08. Police radio traffic from the same response had already circulated publicly, with an officer describing the call as "a slumper" while travelling to the scene.
Satterley had competed hours earlier at AEW's All Out pay-per-view, where he wrestled in a match and then made a further appearance during the show's main event later the same night. He performed professionally under the ring name PAC for the All Elite Wrestling promotion. The promotion announced his death last week. Reports have not established what happened between his leaving the venue and being found in his car outside the restaurant.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has not yet made the cause of death public. It has carried out an autopsy but said in a statement that it requires additional testing before it can determine an official cause of death. Officials have not given a timeframe for completing that testing or issuing a final ruling. The office is expected to confirm the cause of death once the additional testing concludes.
