YOUTUBER JAILED FOR LIFE FOR MURDERING PREGNANT GIRLFRIEND
A YouTuber has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his pregnant girlfriend. The man faked a Grand Theft Auto livestream on his YouTube channel during the time he carried out the killing. His girlfriend, Natalie McNally, was pregnant at the time of her death. The court handed down a life sentence following his conviction for murder.
During the killing, the YouTuber streamed pre-recorded or staged GTA gameplay to create a false alibi, presenting the appearance that he was occupied online. McNally was pregnant at the time she was killed. The use of a livestream to fabricate his whereabouts formed part of the case against him. Investigators established that the stream did not reflect his actual location or activity at the time of the murder.
The case drew attention to the use of digital platforms and online content as tools to construct false alibis in serious criminal cases. McNally's death and the circumstances surrounding it were central to proceedings. The life sentence means the convicted man must serve a minimum term before any possibility of parole review. Authorities have confirmed the sentencing concludes the criminal trial.
