The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Las Vegas Raiders 30-27 at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, moving to 4-0 for the season. That leaves Kansas City alongside the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings as the only unbeaten teams in the league, according to the reports. The game featured several lead changes and was not decided until the final seconds. It was the Chiefs' eighth win in nine meetings with the Raiders on the road. Wide receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton both left the field with injuries during the win.

Rice went off in the first quarter with what was described as a tweak to his right hamstring. Thornton suffered a more serious injury in the fourth quarter, dislocating his left ankle after a 55-yard catch down to the Raiders' five-yard line. He was tackled by safety Treydan Stukes in what was described as a hip-drop tackle, leaving his left foot positioned unnaturally before he was carted off in an air cast. Before the injury, Thornton had recorded two touchdowns and 111 yards on eight targets from quarterback Patrick Mahomes. One report said Thornton is expected to be out indefinitely and that it is unclear whether the injury occurred during the tackle or as he stood up to celebrate.

The injuries prompted renewed speculation about a return for former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill, with one report saying the team had reached out to his agent. Hill was drafted by the Chiefs in 2016 and won the Super Bowl with the franchise during the 2019 season before later leaving. Supporters called for a reunion with Hill after the injuries, according to the reports. The Chiefs had not confirmed any move for Hill.
