GOVERNMENT REVERSES PLAN TO CUT JURY TRIALS
The Government has reversed a plan to cut the number of jury trials, a proposal Sir Keir Starmer had said would reduce the backlog of court cases. The U-turn follows a campaign against the plan led by the MP for Hull.
Alex Norris said court backlogs would still fall after the reversal.
