COURT DISSOLVES INJUNCTION OVER COLLEGE ATHLETES' FIFTH YEAR
A Kentucky Court of Appeals has dissolved a temporary injunction that had granted 38 college basketball players a fifth year of eligibility. Those affected include Thomas Castellanos, Seth Trimble and Missouri's Mark Mitchell. The injunction had underpinned their eligibility under the NCAA's five-for-five policy implementation. CBS Sports reported that the ruling leaves Mitchell and other fifth-year players in limbo over their status, while Yahoo Sports said the decision adds to confusion surrounding the policy's rollout.
