CHRISSY TEIGEN ANNOUNCES DEATH OF FATHER RONALD TEIGEN

Model Chrissy Teigen announced on Wednesday that her father, Ronald Leroy Teigen, has died at the age of 73, days before his 74th birthday. She made the announcement via an Instagram post, which included a video of Ronald talking about his life in the north-west of America. In the post's caption, Teigen wrote: "Yesterday I woke up with a daddy and went to bed without one." She described the death as sudden and said she fell to the ground when she received the news.

Teigen wrote that she had previously believed she had come to terms with the likelihood of losing her father due to his age, but found the reality of the news overwhelming. She described writing him a letter several months ago expressing gratitude for his hard work whilst she was growing up. In the post, she described Ronald as someone who "hated nearly everything in the world that wasn't a bass guitar, swing dancing, wood carving, animals, YouTube, or his family." She said she had hundreds of videos of him and that they brought her happiness.

Musician John Legend, Teigen's husband, commented on the post, writing: "We love you so much Papa Ron. I'm so glad you got to spend so much time with your grandbabies." The post drew significant public attention across social media following its publication. Teigen closed her tribute by stating she would talk to her father every night.
